EVOLVE Residential Treatment Programs (RTC) support adolescents 12-17 years old struggling with mental health, addiction, and behavioral issues.
Families Come First
At the Residential level of care, teens live on-site with 24-hour support and supervision. We believe in the positive power of the family dynamic, so our treatment centers look and feel like homes. They’re small, serene, and quiet, with never more than six teens at a time in any one residential center. Every resident feels like they’re in a personal, individualized recovery center designed to meet their specific therapeutic needs.
Experienced, Professional Staff
Our staff is handpicked to provide the highest level of compassionate and humanistic care. On-site staff includes a psychiatrist, nurses, and licensed therapists. Our counseling staff is made up of experienced clinicians, masters-level interns, and certified recovery coaches who bring a diverse and eclectic background to the treatment experience. While it’s not always possible, we do our best to have one staff member on-site who has kids of their own. We understand the experience of being a parent goes a long way when helping teens through the challenges of substance issues, behavioral problems, and emotional challenges.
Our teens receive solution-focused, data-driven, evidence-based, results-oriented therapy. Everything we do is geared toward changing behavior and finding the right combination of treatment and support. Since no two teenagers are alike, no two treatment plans are alike. During the admissions process, we conduct a thorough assessment, establish a baseline, and create an Individual Recovery Plan based on specific needs and goals. Recovery Plans include a combination of the following therapeutic modes:
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
- Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Mindfulness-Based Dialectical/Cognitive Therapy (MBD/CT)
- 12-Step Support Programs
- Individual Family Therapy
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
Our teens also take part in a wide range of innovative experiential therapies, such as:
Equine-Assisted Therapy (Horses)
Music, Art, and Dance
What Happens Next?
We know the world does not pause during treatment—not for our teens, and not for their families. In our Residential Program, teens continue their academic pursuits for a few hours each day when it works within the larger context of their treatment plan. Treatment comes first, always. However, shielding teens from schoolwork while they’re in treatment is not always best. Our clinical team works to develop a balanced approach and helps families advocate for additional support when they return home. Each residential center is equipped with a state-of-the-art computing facility that allows students to connect to online learning portals, conduct research, and complete assignments provided by schools or parents. Our staff facilitates all educational activities during treatment and ensures computer use for schoolwork is safe and appropriate.
From the moment a client enters our program, we begin work on a transition plan, with a focus on personal growth, achievement, and stable, sustainable integration into the most positive situation possible after residential treatment.
Evolve works closely with parents, schools, and referring providers to ensure a seamless continuity of care between levels of therapy. The Evolve team gathers critical data and engages in dialogue regarding problem and treatment history, strengths and deficits, and avenues for growth.
