Evolve Treatment Centers Online & Virtual Outpatient Program For Teens
Evolve Virtual Outpatient Programs support adolescents 12-17 years old who live at home but struggle to maintain balance due to mental health, addiction, and behavioral issues.
What Are Virtual Outpatient Programs for Teens?
A mental health or substance use disorder can cause a teen to struggle socially, emotionally, and academically. However, participating in a long inpatient program isn’t always the best solution. A virtual outpatient program for teens is a flexible treatment option that makes it possible for young people to get the support they need while remaining at home.
Our teen online outpatient treatment programs offer two levels of virtual care to ensure we can provide solution-focused programs that fit every need. Parents who need advice on how to deal with a runaway teenager or what to do when your teenager lies and those seeking support for children with substance use disorders will appreciate the importance our online intensive outpatient program (IOP) places on parental participation.
Virtual Outpatient Program For Teens: New Methods for a Changing World
Given the various factors at play in our world today, many teens are unable to participate in traditional, in-person treatment. Our virtual outpatient programs allow teens to receive the support they need from the safety and comfort of home. Utilizing the same core curriculum as our innovative residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs, we offer participants in our virtual outpatient program the highest quality mental health and addiction treatment available.
Our Virtual Program For Teens is Private, Secure, and Effective
Our board-certified adolescent psychiatrists and therapists employ HIPAA-compliant video-conferencing tools to provide our full spectrum of solution-focused, data-driven, evidence-based, results-oriented therapy at each level of care.
Tailored Treatment for Individual Needs
The only difference between our virtual programs and our in-person programs is the location.
In our virtual programs – just like our in-person programs – we take the time to learn everything we can about each of our teens. We learn about their interests, passions, hopes, fears, and dreams. We listen to what they want out of treatment. We help them discover and define their personal vision of recovery, then use that knowledge to create an individual, customized recovery plan that serves their specific needs.
How Our Virtual Outpatient Program Can Help Teens
We help our teens achieve their treatment goals with traditional therapies such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Group DBT, Process Groups, Educational Groups, Family Therapy, and Parent Support Groups. We combine these techniques with complementary approaches such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), yoga, music, drama, and art to tailor a dynamic program that changes as our teens learn, grow, and change on their treatment and recovery journey.
Our Two Levels of Virtual Care for Teens
Adolescents receive our full spectrum of solution-focused, data-driven, evidence-based, results-oriented therapy at each level of care:
Virtual Intensive Outpatient (Online IOP) for Teens
The intensive outpatient level of care is appropriate for teens who live at home and attend school but struggle to manage the symptoms of their mental health, behavioral, or addiction issues.
Parents and/or guardians of teens in Virtual IOP programs must be available to participate in their teen’s treatment program for at least two hours per week. In addition, we invite parents of teens in Virtual IOP to participate in our parent support groups which we offer twice a week.
Our virtual intensive outpatient program supports teens stepping down from a more immersive level of care, such as residential, partial hospitalization, or inpatient hospitalization, or teens who need more structure and support than weekly outpatient therapy.
At the online IOP level of care, our teens:
- Participate in treatment Monday – Thursday from 3:30-6:45 pm
- Have a personal recovery counselor
- Engage in daily group therapy sessions
- Engage in daily psychoeducation workshops/classes
- Receive one individual counseling session per week
- Participate in one family therapy session per week
- Participate in one multi-family therapy session per week
- Receive two individual psychiatry sessions per month
- Engage in weekly experiential therapies, such as yoga, drama, and art
The typical length of treatment for our Virtual IOP teens is around two to three months. However, length varies by individual needs, treatment progress, input from clinical staff, and insurance.
Virtual Partial Hospitalization Program (Online PHP) for Teens
The partial hospitalization level of care is appropriate for teens with mental health, behavioral, or addiction issues who are able to live at home but unable to attend school because of the severity of their symptoms.
Parents and/or guardians of teens in Virtual Partial Hospitalization programs must be available to participate in their teen’s treatment program for at least two hours per week. In addition, we invite parents of teens in Virtual PHP to participate in our parent support groups which we offer twice a week.
Our virtual partial hospitalization program supports teens stepping down from a more immersive level of care, such as residential treatment or inpatient hospitalization, or teens who need more structure and support than provided in weekly outpatient therapy or intensive outpatient treatment.
At the online PHP level of care, our teens:
- Participate in treatment Monday – Thursday from 10:00am-6:45pm, and Friday from 10:00am-4:00pm.
- Have a personal recovery counselor
- Participate in a focused, DBT-centered treatment program with the same level system as our in-person treatment programs
- Engage in daily group therapy sessions
- Engage in daily psychoeducation workshops/classes
- Have two hours per day to work on individualized schoolwork
- Receive two individual counseling sessions per week
- Participate in one family therapy session per week
- Receive one individual psychiatry session per week
