School counselors, teachers, and other school administrators are often the first to notice when an adolescent struggles with mental health or substance use issues. This makes them valuable resources in helping students gain access to treatment, and it’s why we often partner with schools to raise awareness of mental health issues affecting teens today.
Educational Support at Evolve
Upon admission to an Evolve program, our primary goals for an adolescent are stabilization and recovery. At the same time, we understand the importance of education. Students can – and should – continue their schoolwork as much as possible during treatment. We set aside dedicated hours, every day, for students to work on their school assignments, study, or take exams. We also provide separate school rooms with computers, printers, desks, and books in each one of our facilities.
Evolve staff will work together with your school to ensure we are doing everything we can to help our clients keep up with their academic responsibilities. We value collaboration with school counselors, teachers, and administrators, and understand that coordination is vital to the student’s future educational goals.
Partnering With Evolve
We’re always happy to partner with schools to raise awareness of common mental health issues teens struggle with today. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, relationships, substance use, or any other problem, we’re here to offer our knowledge and experience. We understand that educating teens while dealing with these issues is difficult and complex. That’s why we’re here to help. In the past, our licensed clinicians have led Mental Health Awareness Evenings, Wellness Programs, and Parent Information Sessions for various schools in Los Angeles. We can also help your students organize school mental health initiatives or clubs on campus.
Please be in touch with us if you believe we can serve as a resource for your school.
