This webinar will provide a review of the prevalence and risk factors associated with suicidal ideation, suicide attempts, and suicide completion in adolescents. It will also provide an overview of helpful assessment tools and strategies as well as interventions. Multiple case examples will be used throughout the webinar to illustrate and clarify information provided.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Define active vs. passive suicidal ideation and identify at least two appropriate interventions for each.
- Identify permissible exceptions to client confidentiality in cases of potential suicide.
