Lisa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over fifteen years of clinical experience working with adolescents and their families. She has worked with teens in a variety of settings including high school, community mental health clinics, summer camps, and a hospital. Lisa earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her master’s degree in Social Welfare at the University of California, Berkeley. She also trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) through Portland DBT Institute and was intensively trained through Behavioral Tech, the training center founded by the creator of DBT, Marsha Linehan.
Lisa draws on DBT as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Narrative Therapy in her work. She approaches teens with compassion, honesty, authenticity, and a sense of humor. She is committed to helping teens (and parents) become the best version of themselves.
Before stepping into her current role, Lisa started at Evolve Agoura Hills RTC as Clinical Program Director in 2016. In 2020, Lisa became the Southern California Regional Program Director where she oversaw six residential programs, the aftercare department and academic placements at Evolve for graduate students. In her current role as Vice President of Operations, Lisa is committed to using her extensive knowledge of Evolve to ensure that the programs have the operational support they need to be their most effective in serving our clients and families.
Outside of work, Lisa can be found at local farmer’s markets, reading non-fiction, listening to podcasts, and spending time at the park with her husband and two young sons.
