Evolve Day Programs

Treatment for the Whole Person

Evolve San Diego offers individualized mental health and substance abuse treatment in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood in the northern San Diego suburbs. Our convenient location at the eastern edge of the Sorrento Valley gives us easy access to La Jolla Village, Del Mar, and the stunning natural beauty of Torrey Pines State Reserve, home to the rarest species of pine tree in North America, the endangered Torrey Pine. We’re minutes away from rugged, picturesque beaches, beautiful hiking trails, and the wealth of health and wellness resources available at the University of California San Diego.

Our custom outpatient and partial hospitalization programs are perfect for families living in the coastal towns near San Diego seeking treatment for their teens struggling with substance abuse or mental health issues. We’re close enough to home to eliminate worry, and far enough away to create the distance and perspective needed for effective recovery.

Our teenagers receive therapy in a safe and supportive setting ideal for healing. Treatment can be hard work, but we know our teens can learn practical coping skills while learning about themselves, having fun, and building enriching new relationships. We encourage personal growth and lay the foundation for sustainable, lifelong recovery.

Choose Your Level of Personalized Care:

Partial Hospitalization (PHP) or Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

At Evolve San Diego, we learn everything we can about each of our teens before creating their individualized recovery plan. We find out what they like and what gets them excited, then translate that knowledge into a customized program that serves their specific needs. We apply traditional approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Group DBT, Process Groups, Family Therapy, and Parent Support Groups. We engage our teens further with Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) modes like yoga and meditation, and offer experiential activities including music, art, dance, hiking, general fitness. We also go on regular social and cultural outings.

Adolescents receive our full spectrum of solution-focused, data-driven, evidence-based, results-oriented therapy at each level of care:

Partial Hospitalization (PHP)

Our partial hospitalization program serves teens who live at home and attend the Evolve full-day treatment program. PHP teens receive six hours of treatment, five days a week.

Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

Our intensive outpatient program serves teens transitioning from PHP (Partial Hospitalization) or those who need more structure than weekly therapy sessions. IOP teens receive three hours of treatment, three to five days a week.
