Treatment for the Whole Person

Evolve Danville Outpatient offers individualized mental health and substance abuse treatment in Danville, a scenic town in Contra Costa County, California known for its natural beauty and green, rolling hills. Located off the I-680, our teen outpatient treatment center is easily accessible from Alamo, Blackhawk, Diablo, San Ramon, and Dublin, as well as other East Bay communities including Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Bancroft, Concord, Lamorinda, Pleasanton, Hayward, Livermore, and Fremont.

Situated in the heart of Danville, our prime location offers a wealth of local activities that we take advantage of during staff-supervised outings. The famous Iron Horse Regional Trail is an iconic 40-mile hiking and biking path lined with beautiful shade trees and lush vegetation. It crosses through several East Bay cities and runs behind our PHP/IOP treatment center. We’re also close to the Crossroads shopping center and the Danville Town & Country mall.

Our custom intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs are perfect for families living in Danville or surrounding East Bay neighborhoods who are seeking treatment for their teens struggling with substance abuse or mental health issues. Many families choose Evolve Danville PHP/IOP after their teen successfully discharges from Evolve Danville, Walnut Creek, or Lafayette Residential Treatment Centers.

Our teenagers receive treatment in a safe, supportive setting ideal for healing and recovery. Therapy can be hard work, but we know our teens can learn practical coping skills while having fun, learning about themselves, and building enriching new relationships. We encourage personal growth and lay the foundation for sustainable, lifelong recovery.

Two Levels of Personalized Care

At Evolve Danville Outpatient, we learn everything we can about each of our teens before creating their individualized recovery plan. We find out what they like and what gets them excited, then translate that knowledge into a customized program that serves their specific needs. We utilize traditional approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Group Therapy (such as Group DBT), Family Therapy, Multifamily Groups, and Parent Support Groups. Teens have dedicated hours for educational and academic support so they can stay on track with school. We believe that adolescents connect differently to various modalities and that recovery can happen anywhere – that’s why we offer and support our teens with experiential activities such as art, music, yoga, fitness, and more.

Adolescents receive a full spectrum of solution-focused, data-driven, evidence-based, results-oriented therapy at each level of care:

Partial Hospitalization (PHP)

Our partial hospitalization program serves teens who live at home and attend Evolve during the day. PHP is a full day of treatment, five days a week. At the PHP level, teens receive two individual therapy sessions per week, one psychiatry session per week, and daily academic support. The program can serve as a starting point for teens who need more structure than our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), or it can be a step-down option from inpatient hospitalization or residential treatment, such as residential treatment at Evolve Danville, Walnut Creek, or Lafayette Residential Treatment Centers.

Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

Evolve’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) can serve teens who need a higher level of treatment than weekly psychotherapy sessions or can serve as a step-down option for teens transitioning down from a PHP, Residential, or Inpatient Hospitalization. Intensive Outpatient is appropriate for teens who live at home and attend school. At the IOP level, teens receive one individual therapy session per week, one psychiatry session per week, and daily educational support. While the frequency of treatment varies according to individual needs, teens in IOP typically receive three hours of treatment, four days a week. Many teens step down to the IOP or PHP level after receiving residential treatment at Evolve Danville, Walnut Creek, or Lafayette Residential Treatment Centers.
