Tamara Fleck-Myers, MEd, LMFT, LPC, is a Clinical Director at Evolve, overseeing residential treatment programs for adolescents and their families. Known for her warmth, authenticity, and ability to foster meaningful connection, she supports teens and families with compassion, clarity, and respect. She is deeply committed to creating therapeutic environments where adolescents feel safe, heard, and empowered to make lasting change, reflecting a strong belief in the power of collaboration and human connection to promote healing.
She earned her bachelor’s in Psychology and her master’s in Counseling from the University of Georgia. With advanced training in Attachment Regulation and Competency (ARC) and Trauma-Focused CBT, Tamara helps teens address barriers to feeling safe and build practical skills in emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and communication. She also uses Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore their values, strengthen motivation, and move toward their personal goals.
A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Clinical Supervisor, Tamara is a dedicated child advocate with decades of experience. Prior to joining Evolve, she spent 25 years in the nonprofit sector improving the lives of foster youth, developing a strong foundation in trauma-informed care and family systems. An integral part of the Evolve team for several years, Tamara leverages her extensive experience with youth, parents, and community organizations to guide and support her staff.
Outside of her professional work, Tamara enjoys spending time with her three adult children, cooking, reading, Padres baseball, and taking full advantage of the natural beauty and outdoor lifestyle that Encinitas has to offer.
