Alyssa Martinez is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and the Clinical Program Director for Evolve La Mesa and Mt. Helix. With two decades of experience supporting adolescents in various capacities and over ten years as a clinical therapist, she brings deep compassion and expertise to her work with youth. Alyssa loves watching teens come into their own and explore their passions during a transitional stage of life that can be both scary and exciting. She views family involvement as an absolute imperative to the treatment process, offering parents empathetic, judgment-free support and guidance to ensure lasting healing for the entire family system.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of San Diego and her master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Throughout her clinical career, she has developed a specialized focus on trauma and relational dynamics, holding advanced training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Attachment-Based Family Therapy. Additionally, Alyssa is specially trained to provide reflective supervision, allowing her to effectively mentor and guide her clinical teams to deliver the highest standard of care.

Her professional journey includes extensive work in community mental health, ranging from running social-emotional programs for autistic youth to spending seven years providing wraparound services for system-involved families at the San Diego Center for Children. She also played a pivotal role in launching the first Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) in California designed to serve Medi-Cal clients. Now at Evolve, Alyssa maintains the clinical pulse of the La Mesa and Mt. Helix programs. She fosters a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment, balancing structure with autonomy so that teens can develop personalized coping skills and leave treatment ready to build a life worth living.
