Evolve Treatment Centers is hiring an Educational Coordinator for our outpatient facilities. We provide cutting edge residential and outpatient treatment to adolescents struggling with addiction and mental illness. We are looking for a committed Educational Coordinator to join our team of mental health professionals to incorporate education more effectively into our clinical programs. As the Educational Coordinator you will be the primary educational resource for all our outpatient programs. This includes working collaboratively with clients’ schools and teachers to ensure that curriculum is obtained and communicating with parents/guardians about trouble areas or any other educational issues that require attention.

The ideal candidate is passionate about working with teens and has strong communication, tutoring, and organizational skills. The person we are seeking will be compassionate and motivating as they assist the students we work with.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with parents to ensure that parents follow through with enrolling their children in school. Provide parents with information about various alternative learning programs when necessary
  • Act as a liaison with the client’s school in obtaining curriculum and consents when appropriate
  • Provide academic support to both struggling students and gifted students to help them reach their full potential
  • Provide transportation (we provide vehicle) for students to attend alternative classrooms when appropriate and necessary
  • Inform Clinical Directors and treatment teams of all behavioral/educational problems.
  • Document Education sessions
  • Attend educational outings
  • Facilitate groups surrounding study skills or other educational issues as determined appropriate
  • Travel to various sites within Southern California
  • Participate in weekly treatment team meetings and weekly staff meeting
  • Perform other duties as instructed by Clinical Director

Certifications and Requirements:

  • BA in a related field. Masters in a related field preferred
  • Pupil Personnel Credential preferred
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Ability to multi-task and coordinate productively with other team members
  • Be punctual; possess good commination skills; work well collaboratively with supervisors, management and colleagues
  • Have a respectful and professional demeanor and demonstrate appropriate boundaries with clients
  • Have a strong desire to interact with teens and their families and provide support when needed
  • Must have a driver’s license

Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm

Salary: Competitive; Dependent on experience
