Evolve strives to be a good neighbor.

We’ve developed a number of policies to ensure positive experiences in the community.

Many people have misconceptions about children who need mental health treatment. The communities we serve have come to appreciate the important work we do with teens. We operate under a “Group Home” license serving only six kids at one time. This small milieu, combined with our high staffing ratios, allows us to provide the oversight, evidence-based care, and safety our teens need.

Who We Treat

We help teens ages 12-17 who struggle with depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues. We teach our teens the skills they need to regulate their emotions. Our skills-based programming focuses on mindfulness, effective communication, and distress tolerance. Prior to approving any potential admission, our admissions team (led by a licensed therapist) gathers and reviews the client’s records (hospital, IEPs, psychological testing). This thorough review by a clinician allows us to move forward with confidence that our residents are appropriate for an unlocked environment and do not present a danger to other clients, staff, or the community.

Evolve Treatment Centers maintains the highest level of safety protocols for teens. Teens are supervised 24/7 by our team of highly qualified professionals. We utilize strict line-of-sight policies, state-of-the-art monitoring technology, and the highest possible staff-to-client ratios.

Noise, Activity, and the Condition of the Home

Our staff are committed to maintaining a safe and tranquil environment where we can help young people discover their passions, heal, reconnect with their true selves, and develop skills that promote long term recovery.

Neighbors find our houses are actually quieter than the typical house with teenagers. You won’t hear loud music or late-night parties. Most of the time our teens participate in planned group activities. Our program schedules provide daily structure, consisting of therapeutic groups, education, and fitness activities. The schedule allows for only a few hours of free time each day. This recreation time is supervised and typically involves playing board/card games, journaling, puzzles, or getting out art supplies and being creative.

The standards of safety in our houses exceed those of a typical residential home. We maintain our property to the standards of the community. We respond immediately to any concerns. We care about our neighbors and instruct our staff to be mindful of neighbors’ concerns and questions.

Parking and Traffic

Another concern raised by our neighbors is the impact our facility will have on parking. We purposefully select houses that have adequate parking for our routine daily staff. If we hold a public event, we obtain the services of a valet. Our core professional staff is on-site between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. We have supervisory staff on site 24/7 with three shifts scheduled each day (6:00 am to 2:00 pm, 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and 10:00 pm to 6:00 am). Therefore, our staff commute times do not overlap with typical commute hours.

We do important work with the children who come to Evolve. These teens are from your community or communities nearby. By being good neighbors, we make it possible for adolescents to get the help they need in a comfortable home environment.
